Happy Thanksgiving week, friends! What are your plans? I am heading to my mom’s house and will get to see two of my four siblings this year (my oldest brother and my youngest sister). We like to do most of the cooking together during the day, take our time over dinner and dessert, and then lounge around for the rest of the evening watching football, doing puzzles, and talking. I am keeping my outfit fairly casual, but I still like to look festive for the holiday. I think this outfit is just right for that. I am absolutely obsessed with the colors in my blanket scarf and am in love with my lace-up booties!
And side note: how perfectly does this setting work for the outfit?!? I love the yellow leaves. While we were here shooting, someone drove past and rolled down their window to say they knew the photos would look amazing with this backdrop. Haha! 🙂
My scarf is reversible, with one (mostly) striped side and one all plaid side. It is a few years old, but I found ones with similar colors and linked them below. For fall, I love scarves with autumn colors like gold, dark green, and navy. They really warm up an outfit’s color palette!
I know the scarf is a statement piece by itself, so I paired it with understated accessories. The green sweater brings out the green stripes in the scarf, and my purple clutch brings out the purple on the plaid side. My booties complete the look and are so, so perfect for fall.
What do you all plan on wearing for Thanksgiving? Do you get dressed up or go more casual? I would love to hear your thoughts in the comments below!
